McCutcheon’s Visits Chicago

This past week McCutcheon’s Apple Products attended the IGC (Independent Garden Centers) Trade Show in Chicago. Now you may wonder what a food producer was doing alongside garden centers and garderners. The reason is simple. Today, many garden centers and nurseries are not only all about the plants, they are about the experiece of shopping with them.

This is where McCutcheon’s Apple Products comes into the picture. To make the shopping experience more exciting many garden centers and nurseries are expanding by bringing in food products. McCutcheon’s provides the perfect starting point for businesses that are unfamiliar with the ins and outs of carrying food. We offer an array of three year, shelf-stable canned goods that can be stored in a wide range of environments. Our products include old-fashioned sodas, fruit preserves, jellies, salsas, bbq sauces, dressings, and the list goes on. As a new service, we can provide private labeling on all our canned products and now our sodas as well. And, if you are unsure what combination of products would sell best and of how to display them, we can outfit you with a traditional apple crate display loaded with all of our best sellers or tailors to your own preferences.

It was a great opportunity to join the front of exhibitors at IGC. The trade show was housed at the Navy Pier Convention center and afforded us all the accommodations we could ever hope for. By the end of the third day we packed up our apple crates and left knowing we had made great connections with people and forged  relationships with new customers. Thanks IGC for having us and we look forward to seeing you again next year.
